Special Collection Photo Contest

Hey Cochrane!  Do you love borrowing our special collections? 

We want to see noteworthy, creative and fun images of you using our collections!

CONTEST PERIOD

Contest begins on August 1, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. and ends on September 10, 2023 at 7:00 pm. 

CONTEST RULES

All photos must be original work, taken by the entrants. The photo must not infringe upon the trademark, copyright, moral rights, intellectual rights, or rights of privacy of any entity or person.

  • The photo must be in its original state and cannot be altered in any way, including but not limited to removing, adding, reversing, or distorting subjects within the frame.
  • Entries will not be accepted unless submitted via the official Facebook Contest Event page.  CLICK HERE
  • Entries not submitted through the event page will be deleted.
  • Submissions must include #cochranelibphotocontest23 
  • All entries must include at least 1 person using an item from the Cochrane Public Library special collection. 
  • Participants may submit multiple entries, but must be posing with a different item for each entry. 
  • Entries must be received by 7:00 pm on Sunday, September 10 to be eligible for this year's contest.
  • Winner will be drawn randomly on Monday, September 11 and contacted via Facebook Messenger. 
  • By submitting a photo to the contest, the entrant hereby grants Cochrane Public Library the right to use photos submitted to the contest. Cochrane Public Library will have rights to use images digitally to (a) further expand on the print advertising; (b) promote Cochrane Public Library; and (c) promote Cochrane Public Library via social media outlets and library website.
