Camping, Snowshoes and Hiking
- SUMMER: Look for camping equipment including items like: Compasses, Mess Kits, Chairs, Bungee Cords, Tarps, and a 3-person Tent.
- WINTER: Look for a variety of sizes of Snowshoes and Ice Cleats.
- YEAR ROUND: There are Hiking poles, GPSs, and Headlamps.

Frequently Asked Questions
Our outdoor items can be checked out for a 7 day loan period. Lost or damaged items are subject to a fee for replacement of each item.

Yes, you can. Snowshoeing is a fun winter activity for people to do together as is camping!
Unfortunately, due to the high demand for outdoor equipment, we are unable to take hold requests at this time.
All items can be returned to Cochrane Public Library during open hours. Outdoor equipment cannot be put in the book drop and are the responsibility of the borrower until they are returned in person to the library.
The ideal snowshoe size depends mainly on your weight and the weight of anything you will be carrying while on the snowshoes. The following chart will help you determine which size is best for an individual.
