How to get a Library Card

Cochrane Public Library members can access the library's various programs and services. Members also have access to thousands of library materials from across the province using our interlibrary loan system.

To get a library card, members of the public will need to come to the library and complete the registration form. Photo ID and valid proof of address is required at the time of registration. Examples include:

  • driver's license
  • rental agreement
  • utility statement

If you live in the Town of Cochrane, Rocky View County, or within the Marigold Library System, you can get a Cochrane Public Library card.

As of January 11, 2023, Cochrane Public Library cards are FREE!

Adult/Family card required for all equipment checkouts with the exception of board games and puzzles.

Child card (0-12) require a parent/guardian signature to sign up for a card

Youth card (13-17) photo ID and proof of address preferred, but not required
